Attending an orientation is the first step in our application process. In these one-hour information sessions, prospective volunteers will learn about the commitment and responsibilities required to serve as a CASA volunteer.

CASA will hold an orientation presentation outside of our office if your workplace, professional group, congregation, or community organization is interested. Please contact us at melissa@casaofsanmateo.org to inquire.
TRAINING SCHEDULE
Training is held in person and virtually through Zoom (weekdays once to twice a week from 6-9 p.m.) and through CASA University over a period of four weeks. Our next training schedule is as follows:

* Volunteers who successfully complete the 4 online courses and attend all 6 classes are sworn in by a judicial officer at a graduation ceremony.
* Future training classes in 2024 will be held in July/Aug and October/Nov.
